Infrastructure and Learning Resources

Campus: The institution, founded in July 1993, occupies a sprawling campus spanning 13,552 square meters of land. It is located at the heart of the city. It’s convenient proximity to the Central Bus Stand and Railway Station. It has easy access for the students. The campus boasts a comprehensive range of facilities, including classrooms, laboratories, language lab, knowledge research centre (library), reading and study rooms, staff rooms, college canteen, gymkhana, women’s hostel, playgrounds, common hall, ramps, and other amenities. Regular maintenance and optimal utilization of these facilities are prioritized to support the institution's academic expansion and growth. The campus is partly Wi-Fi enabled, ensuring seamless connectivity for students and fostering a conductive learning environment.

Knowledge Resource Centre (Library): The Knowledge Resource Centre, occupying a total area of 3,370 square meters, is a spacious and well-ventilated hub of academic resources. It has reading rooms for students and faculty, racks for new arrivals, an e-resources section, photocopying services, newspaper racks, textbooks, periodicals and journals.

Classrooms: The College offers 12 classrooms, all of which are spacious, well-lit, and ventilated to ensure the comfort of students and faculty. ICT tools such as LCS, ICT-enabled classrooms, and Google Classroom are utilized to enhance teaching practices. Notably, classroom no. 8 and 9 along with Department of Microbiology, Computer Science, Physics, Geography, and History are located within the Wi-Fi range.

Common Hall: The institution houses a central hall equipped with ICT facilities, serving as a common hall for academic events, seminars, workshops and conferences. With audio-video facilities, it can accommodate up to 100 participants, providing a high-quality experience for diverse events.

Laboratories: The College boasts of ten undergraduate labs for hands-on learning, along with a specialized postgraduate lab equipped with advanced instruments for disciplines such as Microbiology, Geography, Physics, and English. These facilities support cutting-edge experiments. Additionally, all laboratories are equipped with fire extinguishing system.

Computer Laboratories and Software’s: Two computer labs cater to departments such as BCA, B.Sc. Computer Science, Mathematics and Statistics, with additional access available in other departments. The campus-wide Wi-Fi coverage ensures connectivity, with desktops / laptops provided to staff members. Various software programs are available, tailored to academic needs. The campus is under CCTV surveillance for security purposes.

Facilities for differently-abled individuals (Divyangjan): Special provision, including ramp facility, is provided to ensure trouble-free access for differently-abled individuals.

Cultural Activities: Emphasizing cultural values alongside academics, the college offers facilities such as common hall and open stage with some basic musical instruments to promote talent showcasing and heritage celebration, fostering an inclusive cultural atmosphere in the campus.

Sports and Games: The Physical Education and Sports Department provides indoor and outdoor facilities, including a well-equipped gym, to encourage student participation in various sports activities. Financial aid, travel allowances, and medical support are provided, with special assistance for national and international players. The college hosts a variety of sports activities such as indoor and outdoor, complemented by first-aid facilities available through the gymkhana.
